This is ____
This is NYC.
It’s nitty, it gritty, and all those other clichés that you’ve heard. You come to live here you fight to stay.
This is a walking city.
No shoe spared. These 3 day old shoes took a turn for the worse when they broke 50 blocks from my apartment. Why Helena Bonham Carter with color when you can destroy one shoe but not the other.
These are the Lights
The city of lights doesn’t refer to the artificial stars of shining through the windows of buildings and it doesn’t mean Manhattan is just Times Square. The lights are everywhere. It’s the people’s constant drive and creativity, it’s the motion of everything everywhere - it seeps into the sidewalks.
This is the scenery.
The best views of Manhattan can be found on any boulevard. Wait for the light to turn red and race to the center and gaze away until the horns honk to tell you your time is up.
This is the Art
Stop and stare. Rockefeller Plaza serves as a gateway drug into the NYC art scene with this pool sculpture dubbed Van Gogh’s Ear by Elmstead and Dragset.
